Sometimes you may need access to the files on your server. You might need to upload a special PDF or find one that you uploaded a long time ago. The FTP (File Transfer Protocal) module allows you to work with the files on your server just like you do the files on your hard drive.

This module will allow you to:

• Browse through the folders on your site.
• Create new or delete existing folders.
• Manage files allowing you to edit, open, download and delete them as needed.
• Create new files such as text or html files.
  

To the right of all the files and folders, you will see a "restrict" link. This link will lock down a file or folder so that it cannot be altered. This is good in case you don't want to accidentally change an important item.

Warning: Modification of files that you did not create could break the functionality of your site. It is recommended that you do not change any files that you have not created yourself.
