The Quotes module is setup to assist in posting multiple customer or client quotes on your site. These quotes could be about your site, your business or your products. While you could utilize a Section page for posting your quotes, these can be tied to a block that can randomly display various quotes.

The first page will list up to 50 of your quotes. They are sorted alphabetically by title. The links to the right of each quote allow you to manage them accordingly. The following columns are described as such:

Title: The title of this quote.

Category: The category under which this quote was published. More details about categories for this module can be found below.

Edit/Delete: These links allow you to modify existing quotes.

Add New / Edit Existing

Adding a new quote and editing an existing quote provides you with the same form for enter information. The form fields are as follows:

Category: Select the category under which you wish to publish your quote. In most cases, you may only have a single category under which all of your quotes are posted. However, your quotes may be categorized to be displayed on separate pages or with different appearances. The "New Category" link to the right of this selection will allow direct you to a new page where you can create/manage your categories without saving the current page data.

Title: Enter the title of your quote as will be displayed to the user.

Quote Start: Enter a short snip it of your quote. This will be displayed in the page listing all of your quotes in most cases. The complete quote can be placed on its own page by continuing the quote in the next field.

Quote Finish: The rest of the quote. This option allows you to post a complete letter from the author of this quote without filling the listing page.

Author: Enter the author of this quote.

Author Link: If the author has their own website of which you want to give credit, enter the website URL here.

Link Title: If you would rather display the name of the website rather than the URL as entered above, enter the name of the link here.

Preview/Post: You may preview your quote before posting it to your site to confirm that it will appear as you expect. Press Post to post the quote and make it available on your site.

Categories

The categories allow you to organize your weblinks. Most sites do not require the use of multiple categories and will not require any administration. This page provides you with a list of your existing categories as well as links to go back to the weblink listings or add a new category.

If your site does use multiple categories, then they will allow you to display category specific news on separate pages.

Add New

Title: This is the name of your category. This is the only required field.

Description: This description of your category entered here may be used differently depending on the construction of your website. It may be displayed at the top of the sections page for the user or may be displayed on a page listing all of your available news categories.

Image: This image may not be used depending on the construction of your website. It may be placed within the text of the article for classification. It may also be used on the page that lists all of your available categories.

Post: Save your changes.
