Sitemap
The Sitemap module is a menu system that displays links and their relationship to other links. The purpose of a sitemap is to provide visitors with a single page of all the links associated with your website for simpler navigation.

You can simply list out all of your links individually with no parent (defined below) or you can show how the different links relate to each other. For example, you could link to your all of the Section pages and relate all those links under the parent title of Sections.

This module has also been integrated to work with Google Sitemaps. This is a system that assists in the automatic inclusion of your pages in the Google site indexing system. This can greatly help in getting your pages listed in the Google search engine.

Since Yahoo! Sitemaps and MSN Sitemaps has followed the same setup as Google Sitemaps, this same submission option as done with those services.

There is only one page for administrating this menu as you may only have a single sitemap on your site. The page will first display all existing menu items. The last entry is an empty entry where you can add a new item to the menu list.

In defining the relationship of links, I will refer to a main link as the Parent link with all sublinks of that parent as child links (or children).

The link to "Automatically Rebuild Menu" should only be used upon installation of your module or if you need to start over with your sitemap. All predefined values will be lost. The program will search through your site and attempt to locate all existing pages. Then it will create a sitemap for you from what is found. You must then adjust the links as necessary.

The columns of entry for administration are as follows:

Order: This is the order in which the links will be displayed. The order is relative to all the entries of its parent. This means that if you have 3 links under the parent link Contact Us, that those 3 links will be numbered 1, 2, and 3 without regard to the order of Contact Us.

Link Title: This is the title of the link and is displayed as the highlighted text in your menu. Enter the menu item here.

Destination URL: This is the page to which you are linking. You may enter either a relative URL or a fully qualified URL (starting with http://).

Parent: This is the parent link for this link. If no parent is defined, then this will be a primary link option and it will not appear in a submenu. Otherwise, this option will appear in a submenu of the parent that is selected.

Freq.: This is the frequency in which Google Sitemaps should reindex your page. Other than providing information to Google, this field has no other purpose. You are welcome to define a value as listed, but no value is required.

Delete: Check this box next to each menu item you want to delete. When you press Update to apply your changes, these entries will be removed.

Press Update when you are done to implement any changes made.
